Privacy
This site collects nothing about you. There is no account to make, no cookie to accept and no analytics. What follows says exactly what that means, and names the one case where something leaves your browser.
What this site publishes
Records from Ireland's public planning registers: the application reference, the development address, a description of the proposed works, the dates, the decision and any appeal. We do not request, store or publish the name or address of any applicant. Those fields exist in the source data and are deliberately never asked for, so they are not held here in any form.
Where an address in the source record contains an Eircode, only the routing key — the first three characters, which covers a town and its hinterland — is published. The full code is discarded as the record is built, so it is absent from the pages and from the published data alike.
Where it comes from
The national planning register maintained by the local authorities; An Coimisiún Pleanála's case register, for applications made directly to the Commission; ESB Networks' capacity publications, for the substations and their headroom; EirGrid's transmission development plan, for station positions ESB does not publish; and SEAI's list of connected wind farms. All are public. Every figure here is derived from them and carries the date it was retrieved.
What we collect about you
Nothing. There are no accounts, no cookies, no local storage, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. This is a set of static files; there is no server here that records your visit, because there is no server here at all.
Who else sees your visit
Every script, style and image on this site is served from this domain. There is no content delivery network, no web font, no embedded video and no analytics script.
There is one exception, and it is the map. Pages that show a map load their
background tiles from tile.openstreetmap.org, and this happens automatically when the
page opens rather than on a click. OpenStreetMap therefore receives your IP address and which page
you were looking at. We do not control OpenStreetMap, we receive nothing back from them, and
nothing about you is passed to them beyond what any web request carries.
Pages without a map — the About page, this one, and any project with no published coordinate — make no external request at all.
If something here is wrong about your property
Write to hello@windandsolar.ie and we will check it against the source record, and correct or remove it. Tell us the page address if you can — it is the fastest route to the right record.
Where the source register itself is wrong, we will say so and point you at the authority that holds it, because this site republishes those records rather than maintaining them.
